Writing, sending and scheduling emails

Drafts is where emails are written, edited and sent. You pick a recipient, either let AI write the email from the lead's research or write it yourself, then send it immediately, schedule it for a specific time, or select several drafts and send them as a spaced-out batch from your own connected mailbox.

How do I start a new email?

Press Compose. The New email card asks for a recipient first: search your leads or type an email address. Choosing one creates the draft and opens the editor. You can also come straight from a lead, using Generate Email on the lead page or the bulk selection on My Leads.

Under the recipient, a line tells you what the email can draw on: research on file, research that will be gathered while writing, or role and company only.

How do I get AI to write it?

In an empty draft, press Write with AI. Whali writes a subject and body from the lead's profile, their company research, your notes on that lead and your own profile. If a draft already exists, the same button reads Regenerate and rewrites it from scratch.

Both cost 3 credits per attempt, shown as "(3 cr)" on the button. If you run out, the message points you to your reset date. Credits reset every Monday.

How do I edit a draft and attach files?

Edit the subject and body directly in the editor, which supports bold, italic, underline, alignment, indents and links. Add Cc and Bcc recipients with the Cc and Bcc buttons. Use Attach files to add your CV or any of your uploaded documents (PDF, Word or PowerPoint, up to 3MB each). Editing costs nothing.

How do I send one email?

Press Send, which opens a confirmation showing the recipient, subject, the account it sends From, whether follow-ups are on for this email, and any attachments. Confirm with Send email and it goes out immediately.

If no mailbox is connected yet, the button reads Connect email instead and takes you through connecting one.

How do I schedule an email for later?

Press Schedule on a draft (or Schedule from inside the send confirmation) to open Schedule send. Pick a date and time and the Timezone it should be read in. The time has to be at least 15 minutes ahead, and can be up to 90 days out.

A scheduled draft then shows when it will go, with three controls: Reschedule, Cancel, and Send now. Sending now instead of waiting also reschedules that email's follow-ups to start from today.

How do I send several drafts at once?

On the Drafts list press Select, tick the drafts you want (or Select all), and press the Send button that appears. The batch modal explains the behaviour: emails go out a few minutes apart, like normal one-to-one mail, rather than all at once.

1. Review the recipient count and the estimated time of the last email.
2. Choose follow-up handling: On for all, Off for all, or Per draft, which keeps each email's own setting.
3. Send now, or switch to Schedule to pick when the batch starts.

You can send at most 50 emails per batch. Drafts already sent or scheduled are skipped and the modal tells you how many.

What does all of this cost?

Credits are charged for the AI writing, never for the sending. See Follow-ups for what happens after the email goes out.
